Selena Gomez Debuted a Wavy Bob
Lately, Selena Gomez has been all about experimenting with fun new hairstyles this year (hello, '60s hair flip), but her latest look has gotta be one of our favorites.
The Rare singer is now working a wavy, long bob with bangs and major texture, and it's unlike any hairstyle we've seen on the former Disney darling in quite some time — or ever, for that matter.
The 27-year-old pop star took to Instagram on February 11 to show off her new look, which she did in a series of sultry photos that illustrate what the '70s-esque shag looks like from different angles. And while she didn't include a caption, she did tag her upcoming cosmetics brand, Rare Beauty, which has us wondering if the hairstyle could be for a specific campaign shoot.
Naturally, we're not the only ones swooning over Gomez's gorgeous curly style. The post has already racked up almost six million likes, as well as a seemingly infinite array of comments from fans leaving messages like, "Wow. Today is officially blessed😍, "You're one in a billion," and "behind the scenes of the next music video.?.. YES SIS😍😩👏🏼🥳."
In regard to the last comment, some fans are saying this look is from an upcoming music video because she was seen with a similar style late last month while on set in downtown Los Angeles.
Whether or not the curly lob is here to stay, we love seeing Gomez step out of her comfort zone and try new styles that we normally wouldn't expect from her. Here's hoping this look convinces her to wear her naturally curly texture more often.
