It Seems To Have Been An Eventful Year For Zendaya's Love Life

In stop-everything news, the long-anticipated holiday episodes of Euphoria are about to drop on HBO Max. ICYMI: Zendaya revealed in October that the show would release two special episodes before the start of 2021, with the first one debuting on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 9 p.m. ET.
The episode follows the aftermath of last season’s finale, with Zendaya as Rue celebrating Christmas without Jules. Getting back into Euphoria-world probably makes you wonder what Zendaya’s been up to lately (besides, ya know, winning Emmys and all), including what’s happening in her love life.
So…who is Zendaya’s boyfriend, or is she single RN? Here’s what you need to know:
Zendaya reportedly had a showmance with her Euphoria co-star, Jacob Elordi.
Worth noting: The two have never publicly confirmed anything. Still, there are plenty of suggestive pics and comments to give these reports some serious weight. The two were first spotted together during a trip to Greece in 2019, per E!, which got people talking.
Jacob later told GQ Australia that Zendaya is "like his sister," but it’s kinda hard to know if he was just trying to throw people off the scent. In the same interview, he also praised Zendaya as being "an amazing creative."
They were spotted kissing in the street last year.
Well, fast forward to February 2019, and Jacob and Zendaya were spotted grabbing coffee in NYC. At one point, Jacob maybe kissed Zendaya’s hair, according to a pic obtained by Harper’s Bazaar. But, tbh, it’s hard to tell for sure, since he could have been whispering in her ear—on a crowded street, where you usually need to shout to be heard. So, yeah.
Then, things appeared to get serious between the two.
Well, after the whisper-kiss, sources told E! that the two had been "quietly" dating for months and what started as "close friends… became romantic."
"They have been inseparable since last summer and have been making time for each other in between projects," the source said, adding that Jacob met Zendaya's family and that everyone "adores" him.
The pandemic was tough on their rumored relationship.
SO. A little thing called the global COVId-19 pandemic happened and kept them on opposite ends of the earth. Jacob was back home in Australia while Zendaya was holed up in Los Angeles, according to Variety. That's not exactly great for building a relationship.
It’s not clear what happened, but it seems like Zendaya is single at the moment.
Meanwhile, Jacob has been spotted out with Kaia Gerber lately. In fact, Jacob and Kaia actually grabbed dinner together on Zendaya’s 24th birthday, per E!, so, yeah, he and Zendaya are probably over—if they were ever officially together. (Kaia’s parents also "approve" of Jacob, according to ET.)
But Zendaya and Jacob seem to have ended on good terms.
When Zendaya won an Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Drama Series—the youngest woman ever to do that, TYVM— Jacob shared a pic of her on his Instagram Story and wrote, "Congratulations captain...Bravo."
There's no word on whether Zendaya is spending time with someone special these days, or if she's busy living her best single life. Either way, she's absolutely killing it RN.
