Is Kelly Ripa about to dance her way onto TV? If Live With Kelly and Ryan fans have their way, it's definitely a possibility.
The longtime daytime talk show personality often shares videos of her exercise routines on social media and her latest post on Instagram is no exception. In a short clip she uploaded on December 31, viewers saw the All My Children alum perform a series of choreographed dances. Dressed in various forms of athleisure wear, Kelly appeared to enjoy grooving to the beat while working out.
"Danced my way through 2022," she captioned the video.
Like everything the Generation Gap host does as of late, fans were instantly impressed by her dance moves. What's more, they encouraged her to join a popular dancing show in the comments section.
"2023 Kelly Ripa for 'Dancing with the Stars!!!!!'" one fan wrote on Instagram. "It’s time for you to win Dancing With the Stars!" another follower agreed. "Kelly Ripa — [you] need to be the next contestant on DWTS - [you] would win the [Mirrorball] baby!"
So, does this mean Kelly will step away from the soundstage and onto the dance floor anytime soon? No one knows for sure, as the Live Wire author hasn't made a formal statement about it. But given how she's spoken in the past about leaving Live With Kelly and Ryan at some point, it's not a farfetch reality.
Luckily, fans don't need to worry about Kelly departing from her seat on the ABC morning show just yet. What's more, she told Variety in October 2020 how she's not the one who makes the hit series what it is. "It’s not just about me," she said to the outlet at the time about Live's continuing success. "It really is not. I don’t think I’m the show. I think the show is the show."
