Ice skating: For those who have ever wanted to see figure skating superstars, now is your chance. On Friday, Stars on Ice makes its debut at Acrisure Arena, featuring U.S. Olympic medalists Nathan Chen; Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier; Madison Chock and Evan Bates; and Jason Brown.

This is also one of the final appearances of Canadian world champion Kurt Browning, who is retiring after being on the tour for three decades and 1,000 shows.

Dance champions Piper Gilles & Paul Poirier and more are also scheduled to appear.

Medium: When medium Cindy Kaza was 10, she had her first experience with a spirit — a childhood friend who died in a car accident just days before. Rock: Local desert rockers Dali’s Llama released four new songs in March on the EP “Legends of the Desert: Vol. 3” and are performing Saturday at The Hood Bar and Pizza with The Holy Corrupt and Jonny Ransom.

Comedy: The best way to describe Russell Peters’ comedy is his own punchline, “Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad.” The Anglo-Indian comedian admits he makes fun of various ethnic groups, including his own, and has said many times that he will never do a Bollywood film. But Peters told NPR in in 2013, "My life mantra is, everybody in my eyes is equal ... I don't care what your job is. I treat everybody like an individual and I accept everybody as an individual."

Outside of comedy, Peters produced the HBO Canada and Netflix documentary series “Hip-Hop Evolution” and has appeared in many films and TV shows.

Peters will perform on Saturday at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa in Rancho Mirage.

Pop: In 2017, singer-songwriter Ella Vos released her debut album “Words I Never Said,” taking on themes such as femininity, motherhood and the tumultuous political climate. The album received critical acclaim and millions of streams on Spotify, but Vos was diagnosed with lymphoma shortly after its release.

She recovered and come a long way since, releasing “Turbulence” in 2020 and “Superglue” in 2023.

Vos will perform Saturday at Pappy and Harriet’s.
