2020: the year everyone stayed at home, discovered self care, watched too much Netflix, tried and failed to take up a new hobby, and got used to looking a little less "done" than before.
What followed was an undeniable trend for going back to basics, with celebrities giving fans frequent glimpses of their natural hair and skin texture. The curls once kept in touch by hotter-than-the-sun straighteners and XL extensions suddenly sprang back to life, with the likes of Vanessa Hudgens, Perrie Edwards and Ariana Grande all freeing their ringlets for the world to see.
Megan Thee Stallion recently shared her natural hair on Instagram during a visit to Kellon Deryck, the man behind some of her most iconic hair looks. She filmed her curls and explained that "Kellon and I are about to see how healthy and long we can get my hair," before asking followers to share their favourite black-owned hair care lines with her.
The latest celeb to unveil their natural hair texture is America's Next Top Model host Tyra Banks, who posted a picture of her incredible Afro alongside the caption:
