TikTok is Getting Emotional Over Taylor Swift's Reaction to Harry Styles Being Heckled at the Grammys

This is not a drill: Harry Styles and Taylor Swift just had a reunion at the 2023 Grammys and it's warming our Haylor hearts. The pop icon exes were both nominated for multiple Grammy Awards — Taylor Swift took home the Best Music Video award for "All Too Well: The Short Film" and Harry Styles walked away with Best Pop Vocal Album, as well as the coveted Album of the Year Award. Harry Styles also performed his hit single “As It Was” for the star-studded audience with a few technical mishaps.

All eyes were on Taylor Swift during Harry's live performance. Page Six was told that Taylor was "the only person dancing in her section" and that she "popped right out of her seat and danced the entire song." Taylor was seen heading over to Harry after his performance to talk to him and give him a hug. The two pop stars looked friendly as they chatted animatedly.

Later in the evening, Harry received the Album of the Year award for Harry's House. It's reported that fans in the audience yelled “Beyoncé should’ve won” as Harry Styles gave his acceptance speech, and a heart-wrenching TikTok video showed Taylor Swift standing up in solitary support of Harry as he was being heckled by the crowd.

“She knew how Harry was feeling in that moment and she didn’t want him to think everyone was against him like she did at [the] VMAs,” one person observed, referring to the 2009 incident where Kanye infamously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech declare that Beyonce should’ve won. "I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending," commented another TikTok user, quoting the lyrics to Taylor's song "Exile."

Another fan posted a video with the song “Mia and Sebastian’s Theme,” writing, “Taylor really had a full on La La Land moment” in reference to the ending of the Damien Chazelle movie where the two exes run into each other and imagine an alternate universe where they ended up together before sweetly parting ways.

Harry and Taylor briefly dated back in 2012. The couple was photographed while on a date in Central Park in New York City, and their relationship endured heavy public scrutiny and visibility at the time. The two broke up after only a few months of dating.

At the 2013 Grammy Awards following their split (yes, that's exactly 10 years ago!) Taylor performed "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," a single from her album Red. Fans theorized that the pop singer called out Harry during her performance when she crooned in a British accent, "So he calls me up, and he’s like, "I still love you," and I’m like, "I’m sorry, I’m busy opening up the Grammys. And we’re never getting back together, like, ever."

Harry explained that he felt flattered by songs written about him if they were good songs, explaining to Howard Stern in March 2020, “I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering, even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter. So at least they’re good songs.”

Taylor and Harry's relationship has come a long way since their breakup in 2012, and the pair are clearly friendly and supportive of each other's incredible music careers. We love to see it!
