See the stats: Camila Cabello’s staggering success

Camila Cabello can’t be stopped! The 21-year-old Cuban-American singer-songwriter’s star has been steadily on the rise (and we can’t get her catchy songs out of our heads). Cabello signed her first record deal in 2012 as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony. The party of five came in third on the talent competition show "The X Factor," and for Cabello, that was just the beginning. After four years, she parted ways with the group and is now in the superstar category as a solo act. When her self-titled debut album dropped in January, it instantly broke records; it went to No. 1 on iTunes in more than 100 countries in just under 24 hours! That’s the most No. 1 positions for a female artist’s debut album ever. She also did the unthinkable — she broke Beyoncé’s 15-year-old record. Cabello became the first singer in 15 years to hold the No. 1 spot for her song “Havana” and her album Camila at the same time. Queen Bey previously held the honor in 2003 with the release of her song “Crazy in Love” and album titled "Dangerously in Love." Cabello’s first single, “Havana” has become a megahit, thanks to her die-hard fans the Camilizers. The song spent seven weeks on the Pop Songs chart — the longest reign for a female artist since Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” claimed top honors in 2013. Talk about bragging rights. Cabello knows that she owes it all to her fans. She posted a sweet message on Twitter thanking them for their support: “I feel so lucky to get to have people in my life that care about me so much … thank you for always being such an amazing support system in my life.” Next up for Cabello: her first headlining tour — Havana ooh la la!
