See the stats: 21-year-old Mexican-American singer Becky G’s staggering success

Rebecca Gomez, aka Becky G, started out singing popular covers on YouTube as a teen (thanks, Drake and Rihanna). She quickly shot to social media fame, won the attention of some heavy hitters, and got a record deal. The 21-year-old Mexican-American singer has always been about embracing her bilingual status, releasing several songs in Spanish. Her mega hit Mayores, featuring rapper Bad Bunny, got Becky G her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Latin Airplay. “I really feel I found myself in my Spanish music. As a woman, I found my message and my style.” The video (equally as hot) has surpassed Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do. That’s right, Becky G’s Mayores has over one billion views on YouTube, beating the Swift video’s more than 876 million. Swifties should know Becky has her own die-hard fan base — the “Beasters.” She’s got eight million followers on Instagram, which may not be Beyoncé level (she has 113 million followers), but Beasters are just as loyal as the Beyhive. Becky G is on the new dance single Mad Love with Sean Paul and David Guetta, and you guessed it, the song is all sorts of fire! She’s taken those sexy vibes from the Mayores video and brought them to Mad Love times 100!
