You Need To See What This Starbucks Customer Brought To Bring Your Own Cup Day

From Delish

Whenever one of our favorite chains offers a killer promotion (like free tacos!) you can bet your ass that we're some of the first people in line. So when we heard Starbucks was following 7-Eleven's lead and hosting Bring Your Own Cup Day, we got ridiculously excited. (Probably too excited.) But we definitely aren't alone: plenty of customers got over zealous, too.

As a tie-in with Earth Day, Starbucks locations in China encouraged coffee drinkers to bring their own cups - to cut down on waste made by paper ones. The only trouble is that, unlike 7-Eleven -which embraces the bombastic vessels people decide to bring in - the coffee chain didn't expect customers to bring in giant containers like stock pots, mixing bowls, and tea kettles.

Is anyone else thinking what we're thinking? That the epic 138-ounce Starbucks mug would come in real handy right now? Mm hmm.

Except, the irony here is Starbucks clearly stated that only free 12-ounce coffees would be given out, which means the customers who brought in enormous vessels had to pay for how much coffee they were getting. So this giant latte, in what looks like washing basin, reportedly cost $47.50. Damn, that's dedication.
