Of all the beloved '80s movies, Back to the Future has perhaps the most enduring fanbase. There is just something about Michael J. Fox's underdog character, Marty McFly, and Christopher Lloyd's zany Dr. Emmett 'Doc' Brown that continues to delight viewers today. Every time the pair reunite, fans are practically brought to tears—ahem, the emotional Comic Con reunion in October.

Add two more stars to that get-together and you're halfway to Back to the Future part IV! Well, that's what happened over the weekend (a reunion, not another movie 😂). The beloved Back to the Future actors were joined by fellow franchise alumni Lea Thompson and Tom Wilson for a panel at Fan Expo Portland. It's been almost four decades since their debut on screen together, and the costars seemed to be having just as much fun together as their fans.

Thompson, who played Lorraine in the first two film installments, shared a sweet series of photos and videos on her Instagram to celebrate.

"Wow honestly had the best time today with my #bttf family," Thompson wrote. She was all smiles in one adorable video with Lloyd, as she points to him and says, "Look what the cat dragged in!"

"Always the best!" Lloyd replied in the post's comments. The actor who played Doc took to his own Instagram to make a funny post about the event.

"Found the flux capacitor. Brought us all back to 2023 just in time," Lloyd wrote, referencing the device his character used to make time travel possible.

Wilson, who played notorious bad guy Biff, went with the same cover selfie that Thompson shared. "Okay, so this happened. 2023," he wrote.

And in case you missed it, Fox posted an Instagram story where he wrote, “I love being at these FanExpo events and seeing some of my favorite people like Lea, Tom, Chris and all you #bttf heads. Heavy.” 😍

It's been 38 years since the world first fell for Marty McFly, the endearing teenage time traveler who saved his parent's marriage while shredding electric guitar. Though Fox retired from acting in 2020, he's been back in the spotlight after a documentary about his life and experience living with Parkinson's disease premiered at Sundance to rave reviews.
