'Damsel' is headed to screens later this fall.
The Stranger Things actress will star in Netflix's upcoming film, Damsel, which is set to be released to the streamer later this year (on Oct. 13, to be exact). As sets begin to be staged and cameras get ready to roll, Brown has completely transformed her look for the new character.
Netflix debuted the 18-year-old's chic, short red bob in a now-deleted Instagram Story featuring a photo of the star in character posing with a sword, and encouraged fans to "save the date" for her upcoming release, per screenshots shared by Cosmopolitan.
The streaming giant also teased Brown's new hairstyle in an Instagram video highlighting clips from all of the latest films coming to the platform in 2023, "NEW YEAR, NEW MOVIES! SAVE THE DATES 🗓️," the caption read.

Fans immediately spotted Brown in the roundup and celebrated the star's evolution from her time as shaved-head Eleven to the fierce red-head that stands before them on-screen now.
"Omg ,is that Millie!!??!" a flustered Instagram user exclaimed.
"SO PROUD OF MY MILLIE," another gushed, "OH MY GOD MILLIE BOBBY BROWN," someone else squealed.
And it's not just the celebrity's style that's changing, but also her position in production, as Brown is credited as an executive producer of the flick. She previously served as a producer for Enola Holmes and its sequel, Enola Holmes 2.
According to the official Netflix description, Brown's new movie follows the story of a dutiful damsel who agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to find out his family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. After she's thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.
