Khloé Kardashian celebrated her son’s first birthday in style this week with a space-themed party.
The Kardashians star and businesswoman shared all the details on her Instagram Stories on Friday, which showed Tatum enjoying the day alongside his sister, True, and cousins.
In one clip, Khloé announces, “we are here at little...the hunk’s birthday,” as she holds her little boy.
The party was decked out in shades of blue, white and silver, with plenty of balloons, cardboard cutouts of rockets and moons, as well as party games. And of course, given the theme, “Rocket Man” by Elton John is heard playing in the background.
Another sweet clip showed the birthday boy crawling on all-fours, with some balloons attached to his back.
And we are definitely jealous of how incredible his three-tier birthday cake looked. Other videos showed more space-themed food, including astronaut sandwiches, blue iced doughnuts and star and moon-shaped snacks. Fans even got a glimpse as the Kardashian family sang to Tatum, while his dad Tristan Thompson held him.
Party guests could also paint pictures of astronauts, build rockets out of blue play dough and even make their own slime, with a station dedicated to slime creations packed with glitter, sequins, beads and even mini astronauts.
It was only a few months ago that Khloé confirmed the name of her son, who she shares with ex, Tristan. The former couple also have a daughter, True, who celebrated her fifth birthday earlier this year.
Khloé also took to her Instagram feed to share a carousel of snapshots of Tatum, alongside a heartfelt caption.
She wrote: “Happy birthday, my sweet son! I am a firm believer in that God gives you what you need and I needed you. God knew my heart needed you. I needed your sweet and precious Smile. I needed your angelic spirit. I needed a love only you could give me. I needed my son.”
Khloe continued: “I am so proud to be your mommy. So proud of the love and laughter we have in our house. So proud of your beautiful, gentle, loving, infectious spirit.”
“Tatum, You have changed mine and True’s lives forever. We both needed you. I knew she would be a fantastic, loving older sister, but I don’t think I ever could’ve imagined the love and bond you guys already have. You both remind me so much of uncle Bob and I. It’s fitting since I think you look soooo much like your uncle. (Which means I think you look like my dad too)”
