For the last three decades, Julianne Moore has been a Hollywood force. She’s starred in some of the biggest films of our time, won many major accolades, acted on Broadway, and is even an established children’s book author.
Moore has been in the public eye for years, so chances are you’ve seen her on the big screen, walking a red carpet, or on the cover of a magazine. Actor Steve Bassett appeared on As the World Turns as Seth Snyder, Frannie’s love interest. The two, seen here shooting in Italy, were engaged to be married on the show but (spoiler alert) broke up after Seth slept with Frannie’s sister, Sabrina.

Moore poses with fellow talented actors Sylvester Stallone and Whoopi Goldberg while attending a ShoWest convention. Stallone and Moore would appear together later that year in Assassins, an action thriller about a hitman. The movie made $83.5 million worldwide.

1997: Working with Spielberg
A pivotal moment in Moore’s career was playing paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding in the Steven Spielberg-directed film The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Although the movie was physically taxing, Moore has shared that she had a lot of fun during filming. Not only was the movie one of the world’s highest-grossing movies at the time, but it also cemented Moore as a commercial film actress. Here, she is seen arriving at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
