With the Golden Globes (and all of its poofy-sleeved dresses) behind us and Oscars just a few weeks away, it's safe to say awards season is in full swing. But if you've been waiting for music's biggest night, then you're in luck — the 2020 Grammys will air live on CBS at 8.p.m ET on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Want to get prepped for the show? The Grammy nominations list has been out since November — which means you can start filling out your Grammys 2020 ballot now.

If you haven't seen the complete list of nominees yet, then you can expect a few things, namely the usual surprises and snubs that come with any awards show (hint: Taylor Swift's Lover received an underwhelming three nominations).

Alicia Keys will return as host for this year's awards, according to the CBS. Keys hosted the Grammy’s for the first time last year, and even opened the ceremony by inviting a few friends on stage: former first lady Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Lady Gaga.

"From the Southside to the 'who run the world' songs that fueled me through this last decade, music has always helped me tell my story. And I know that's true for everybody here," Obama continued. "Music helps us share ourselves, our dignity and sorrow, our hopes and joys. It helps us to hear one another, to invite each other in. Music shows us that all of it matters, every story within every voice, every note in every song."

“At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around, there was no question about returning as host," the 15-time Grammy said in a statement. "Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music."

Top categories include Best Album, Best Record, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist with Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Lizzo snagging nominations in all four of those categories. Lizzo is leading the pack with eight Grammy nominations, the most out of any artist, which is a major nod to the “Good As Hell” singer. Performers at this year’s awards include Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, the Jonas Brothers, Aerosmith, and Demi Lovato, which will mark her first solo performance at the Grammys, according to TIME.
