See the 2020 Golden Globe Awards Ballot Before the Official Show

Sure, for most people the end of the holiday season means a little more, well, quiet. But the onset of a new year means something else if you have anything to do with Hollywood — awards season is in full swing. First up is the Golden Globes, which means it's your chance to see your favorite stars from both the big and small screens together in one room. Also exciting? The nominations list is out, so that's your cue to start making your favorite picks on the Golden Globes 2020 ballot ASAP.

You won't be surprised to find nods to some of this year's nominees, like Little Women, Hustlers, and, of course, a few last shout outs to Game of Thrones. Netflix's Marriage Story also made a splash with Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Laura Dern all scoring nominations (the film also earned Best Motion Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Original Score nominations). Of course, as with any awards nominee list, there were also some surprises and some snubs (*cough cough Greta Gerwig*).

And if you're going to watch the show, then you'll definitely want to have this checklist on hand — especially if you treat guessing the night's big wins correctly as a bit of a personal victory. Make it a competition with friends or keep it simple with you, your ballot, and a bowl of popcorn on the couch.
