Sebastian Stan Got Naked in a 'Shameless' Plug for His New Movie

Sebastian Stan is used to getting a lot of attention. He's been in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a whole decade, with his character, Bucky Barnes a.k.a. the Winter Soldier, first becoming an increasingly central part of the Captain America mythos, and then later a part of the ensemble cast in the epic one-two-punch of Infinity War and Endgame.

And after a brief hiatus, the former Men's Health cover star is well and truly back in the spotlight with a leading role alongside his real-life bestie Anthony Mackie in the Disney+ miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. But he's also pursuing other artistic endeavours—and courting even more exposure. Literally.

Last night, in a horny-on-main moment that seems almost plucked from the chaotic early days of the pandemic, Stan posted an Instagram photo of himself almost entirely naked in the middle of the street, showing off his superhero glutes. It was, in his own words, a "shameless promotion photo" designed to capture the attention of his 6.3 million followers in order to plug his new movie, Monday.

Thirst is clearly an underestimated promotional tool; if the 45,000+ flustered comments are any indication, he can consider his mission accomplished. Much of the online response has consisted of varying levels of admiration for his Booty Barnes, and while descriptors such as "dump truck" may be slight exaggerations, the actor's quarantine fitness routine—which involves repeated staircase running—is definitely working.

One of the major plotlines in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier revolves around the debate of who is worthy of taking up Captain America's shield, but Stan's thirst trap begs a new question: could Bucky be the official heir to the title of America's Ass?
