If you think you were impressed by flu-ridden P!nk’s performance at the Super Bowl Sunday night, just imagine how her husband feels. Actually, you don’t have to imagine because her husband, Carey Hart, a professional motocross competitor, gushed about how proud of her he was on Instagram.

He shared a photo of the singer and their daughter, Willow, on the Super Bowl field, alongside a loving caption. “I am beyond proud of this woman,” he wrote. “The roller coaster that she went through this last week with getting sick and losing her voice would have broke any ordinary person. She laced up her boots, got through a 90 minute set Friday night, and f***ing killed the super bowl today.” He confirmed that she sang live. “She is the hardest working in show business and i couldn’t be more proud of her. You f***ing rule, baby @pink.”

The singer knocked it out of the park with her performance of the national anthem, despite coming down with the flu just a few days before the big game. “Trying to practice the flu away,” she captioned a photo of herself rehearsing on the field the day before the Super Bowl. “I’ve been waiting to sing this song since 1991 when I saw my idol, Whitney Houston, own this song. And now, my chance has finally come. And it just so happens that this chance comes when I have two small Petri dish children who literally cough INTO MY MOUTH and rub their snot on my cheek,” she wrote. “And here we are. I’ve arrived at another one of my dreams which is slowly becoming a sort of nightmare.”

Even with the flu, P!nk gave a killer performance, and other celebrities (and fans) agree.

Of course, there were haters, some criticizing her for spitting out her cough drop before singing. But she shut them down in typical P!nk fashion.

As for her children who got her sick, P!nk has a message of love for them too. “As far as the gremlins that got me into this mess, you can cough at me for the rest of your lives,” she wrote on Instagram. “If it’s a contest, babies, you win.”
