We were super sad to hear about Scarlett Johansson’s split from husband and business partner Romain Dauriac, but we’re smiling a little more today because they’re hanging out amicably and that’s awesome.

On Wednesday, Johansson and Dauriac reunited for an event in New York City, posing and smiling for photos about a month after the actress filed for divorce.

The occasion? The Singular Object Art Opening Cocktail Reception, where a source said Johansson was all about keeping things civil between herself and her ex.

“She is trying to remain friendly and supportive,” a source told People. “She wants to help him in any way in terms of his career.”

Literally #BreakupGoals, like what?

We think that is so freaking cool. Breakups are never fun or easy — especially when they involve kids (Johansson and Dauriac were married for two years and share daughter Rose Dorothy, 2½).

We’re not surprised this couple is being so mature and friendly, though. Following news of their split, the actress opened up about how important the family’s privacy is to her.

“As a devoted mother and private person and with complete awareness that my daughter will one day be old enough to read the news about herself, I would only like to say that I will never, ever be commenting on the dissolution of my marriage,” she said in a statement to E! Online.

The previous month, she spoke to Playboy about how marriage is “a lot of work,” and admitted she doesn’t “think it’s natural to be a monogamous person.”

“It’s something I have a lot of respect for and have participated in, but I think it definitely goes against some instinct to look beyond,” she explained to Playboy.

We think Johansson and Dauriac have proven through both the quietness surrounding the decision to end their marriage and this amazing reunion in support of each other that respect is something they’re both valuing really highly. We’re glad Rose has parents in them. (Serious question, though: the gourmet popcorn shop is staying, right?)
