Savannah Guthrie honored her 8th wedding anniversary with a carousel of Instagram photos dedicated to husband Mike Feldman, including one from their special day.
“How it started —> how it’s going… It’s going *beautiful* because you’re in it,” she captioned the post.
Guthrie previously shared the adorable story of how the two met.
Time flies when you’re in love—that’s how Savannah Guthrie felt this week while celebrating her eighth wedding anniversary with husband Michael Feldman. The Today anchor shared a carousel of Instagram photos in honor of the special day, including one beautiful shot from the day they tied the knot.
“How it started —> how it’s going… It’s going *beautiful* because you’re in it, @feldmike. Happy Anniversary!” she captioned the post.
The couple’s friends and fans congratulated them on meeting another milestone. “Cuties, then and now. Happy Anniversary 💞,” one person commented. “The cutest and the best and the sweetest and I LOVE YALL,” another added. “Congrats to a beautiful couple. Happy anniversary!!” someone else wrote.
Feldman himself didn’t share an anniversary post (yet, at least), but he did write a sweet message to Guthrie on Valentine’s Day. “I didn’t marry you for your cooking, but I sure so appreciate it when you try,” he captioned the photo of his dinner, which appeared to be mashed potatoes and broccoli. “Happy Valentine’s Day, @savannahguthrie.”
As the story goes, Feldman won the journalist over when he fixed her toilet while they were dating, which Guthrie “found to be very attractive,” she told Reveal magazine in 2020. “I thought, ‘Wow, here’s a sophisticated guy who grew up in the city but who can actually do things.’”
After a while of dating, though, she nearly broke up with him, waiting for a proposal. Thankfully, unbeknownst to her, he’d already bought a ring. “We were kind of at that point in life where it was like, we’re either going to have to decide to get married or we’re just going to have to love each other but let each other go,” she said on Today with Hoda and Jenna in 2019. “I was like, ‘Sweetie, I love you so much, but if we can’t decide, then I think we’ve decided.’”
Feldman was way ahead of her, and she couldn’t have been more confident in her answer when he finally popped the question. “I thought about it for about .2 seconds,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Yessss!’”
Eight years later, it’s pretty clear that she made the right choice. We’re wishing the pair a very happy anniversary and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
