'Saturday Night Live' Treated Bond Fans to a 'Sneak Peek' of 'No Time to Die'

The release of the next James Bond movie, No Time to Die, may have been pushed from April to November due to concerns about the new coronavirus, but star Daniel Craig still hosted Saturday Night Live last night as planned. And for all of the Bond fans mourning the new six-month wait for the already twice-delayed film, Craig offered an SNL-style sneak peak during his opening monologue.

The parody opens in convincing 007 fashion, with Bond entering a Casino de Monte Carlo-type gambling hall and flirting antagonistically with new SNL cast member Chloe Fineman. "Craps? I always thought your game was stealing state secrets," says the MI6 agent. "Whatever you want from me James, the odds are not in your favor," a Fineman coos back in a French accent.

But their game of suggestive eye contact and espionage innuendo is interrupted when Bond gets drawn into the craps game. The SNL cast appears as the stock characters you might find in more humble gambling halls—Kenan Thompson is an excitable bachelor party attendee, Heidi Baumgartner a messy drunk whose "ass is in the hole," and Kate McKinnon appears as an old lady sporting a green eyeshade.

Bond hits a hot streak that makes him thoroughly lose his signature 007 cool. "Waitress, waitress, can I get a vodka martini, shake—no," he asks. "Can I get a vodka and Red Bull pint glass?" Even the revelation that the table's dealer is a SPECTRE agent provides only a brief interruption to the proceedings, which find Bond hopping on a chair and shouting that his name is Simba, because, after rolling four the hard way, he's "king of the jungle."
