Yes, that’s Divorce star Sarah Jessica Parker, a vision in white Vera Wang at the Golden Globes.
For the shoe designer, who just opened her first standalone store in Washington D.C., it was love at first sight.
“I saw an image of this dress. It was the fastest seduction. It was meteoric. I couldn’t imagine that someone else hadn’t already claimed it. This was actually a sample. They made a second one in a different color,” says Parker, who wound up wearing the original color. “I went mad for this dress.”
She’s equally vocal about our political situation and the new president-elect. Parker, always thoughtful and diplomatic, isn’t one to bash anyone or hurl insults. The elegant New Yorker was balanced when asked, on the red carpet, about Washington.
“This is part of living in a democracy. It’s our job to pay attention to the things that matter and have meaningful conversations even with people we don’t agree with,” she says. “How do we find our likenesses? I look forward to that possibility.”
Well said, well said.
