Sarah Jessica Parker Pulled a Carrie Bradshaw in This Confusing Sunglasses Trend Everyone Is Wearing
Sarah Jessica Parker has been wearing Sarah Jessica Parker all summer. And since she has been frequenting her house in the Hamptons over the weekend, her most worn SJP piece weren't her babydoll shoes but her SJP x Sunglass Hut sunglasses that are more suitable for the beach. She's been wearing them on repeat with nearly everything for months.
Over the weekend, though, Parker swapped them out for a pair of Ray-Ban blue gradient aviator sunglasses. Maybe she's ushering in fall with a new pair of shades. Or maybe she finally decided to give the confusing colorful sunglass lens trend that's all over Instagram a try.
It appears that in recent weeks, fashion girls everywhere have been wearing sunglasses with either yellow, blue, or red lenses. Blue tint is by far the most popular, probably because the color has a calming effect, which we could all use right now. It also helps reduce glare, which is perfect if you're working from home staring at your screen for hours at a time.
Since they're also Ray-Ban aviators, SJP wasn't just channeling influencers everywhere but the OG style influencer herself: Carrie Bradshaw, who wore a similar pair of aviators throughout the show. Meta! But also, who doesn't love a seasonal sunglasses refresh? It's what Bradshaw would do too, after all.
