Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams are engaged, and her ring could probably sink ships

Congrats are in order for Sarah Hyland and Wells Adams, who are engaged after nearly two years of dating. The Modern Family star and former Bachelorette contestant announced the happy news via Instagram on Tuesday, July 17th, alongside a series of photos that showed the magical moment he got down on one knee to pop the question during a romantic vacation. Let’s just say Mr. Wells Adams did very well(s) because the oval-shaped diamond ring he use to proposed is absolutely stunning.

Hyland shared her engagement to Adams with fans on social media, posting images showing the lovebirds kissing and hugging on a beach.

Meanwhile, Adams posted a romantic video of his proposal with the caption “I’ll be Johnny, you be June. But forever.” He also provided fans with a closer look at the huge diamond which definitely (probably) put a dent in his bank account.

According to experts, the rock may have set him back up to $200,000. “Sarah’s ring looks like a beautiful white 5-carat Oval cut that is most likely F or G color and VS clarity,” WP Diamonds CEO Andrew Brown told E! News. “On the simple thin band, from Lorraine Schwartz, this ring would probably run $175,000 to $200,000.”

Back in January, when engagement rumors were swirling, the reality star shot back at critics who claimed the actress was going to have to buy her own ring.

“Can I go on the record right here? I will pay for this ring, I promise you. It will come out of my bank account, okay?” Adams told podcast co-host Brandi Cyrus, adding that his “pet peeve” is when people assume “Sarah pays for everything.”

The couple’s epic love story began 2017 after Hyland flirted with Adams on Twitter during his appearance on Bachelor in Paradise. The two then fueled romance rumors after dressing up as Stranger Things‘ Eleven and Dustin for Halloween.

Days later, Hyland and Adams made their relationship Instagram official.
