Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, 63, has some pretty fond memories of her late sister-in-law, Princess Diana. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the Duchess of York took a walk down memory lane and recalled the time she and Princess Diana got arrested before Ferguson tied the knot with Prince Andrew in 1986.

Let’s start from the very beginning, shall we? It all started when Ferguson and the former Princess of Wales walked into a nightclub wearing police officer costumes.

“We sat down, and the waiter came up to us and said, ‘Excuse me, this is a members club. And it’s for fun, and we don't serve police officers here,” Ferguson explained to the talk show host.

But, here’s the crazy part: After Diana and Ferguson left the nightclub, they were arrested by real police officers for impersonating a cop. Although they tried to hide their real identities, the officers eventually figured out who they were.

Reminiscing about the fun times they had together, Ferguson revealed that she thinks about Princess Diana all the time. “She and I, we laughed a lot. We got into trouble a lot,” she shared. “You know what she used to do? She used to tell me the worst story, joke story, just before I had to be serious.”

During the segment, Kelly Clarkson shared an old photo that was taken during the bachelorette party. It showed the two royals wearing similar black and white cop uniforms. Diana put a creative spin on her outfit and added a pair of oversized black sunglasses. (Classic Diana.)

It sounds like Sarah Ferguson and Princess Diana were friendship goals.
