Saoirse Kennedy Hill, a granddaughter of Robert F. Kennedy, has died after reportedly suffering an apparent overdose at the Kennedy compound. The 22-year-old died on August 1. She was at the property where her grandmother, Ethel Kennedy lives. First responders took her to Cape Cod Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. “Our hearts are shattered by the loss of our beloved Saoirse,” The Kennedy Family said in a statement. “Her life was filled with hope, promise and love. Her grandmother Ethel [said] ‘The world is a little less beautiful today.’ She let up our lives with her love, her peals of laughter and her generous spirit. Saoirse was passionately moved by the causes of human rights and women’s empowerment and found great joy in volunteer work, working alongside Indigenous communities to build schools in Mexico. We will love her and miss her forever.” Authorities issued a statement confirming the death at the property but did not identify the victim or cause of death. Saoirse was the daughter of Paul Hill and Courtney Kennedy Hill. She was a student at Boston College, where she majored in communications and was the vice president of the College Democrats. In 2016, she wrote about her struggle with mental illness and depression in a private high school’s newspaper. This video, "Saoirse Kennedy Hill Dies at 22", first appeared on nowthisnews.com.
