Another stylish update is coming for the always classic Vans thanks to Sandy Liang.
The shoe brand is often associated with sand and surf, but as collaborations in the past have demonstrated, our fave slip-on sneaker is also appropriate for the runway. For its latest collection, Vans teamed up with Sandy Liang, and the resulting designs were pulled straight from the era of Britney Spears and boy bands.
Fresh off the adorable Sandy Liang x Spongebob SquarePants collection, Sandy shared the details of a line made for Vans. As Vogue reported, the collection includes 13 items, including sneakers, bucket hats, biker shorts, and accessories. Pieces will retail for $14 to $200.
Vogue reports that the line will be available on February 21, and pieces will be sold online through Sandy's website and Vans.com. Announcing the collaboration on Instagram, Vans detailed a bit more about the designer's inspo. "The Vans x Sandy Liang nine-piece apparel and accessories assortment perfectly encapsulates ‘90s nostalgia through the use of marbled colorways, butterfly iconography and bejeweled detailing," a page for the collection reads.
Images of the collection on Vogue include a peek at a fuzzy backpack made for holding your butterfly clips, a pair of black Vans with Sandy Liang's name stitched on the laces, and a polka dot bucket hat with Sandy Liang's name displayed prominently on the front.
