Ever since Steve Jobs introduced the world to the very first iPad in 2010, Apple has dominated the tablet market. But there are plenty of non-Apple and non-iOS users who also want a top-of-the-line tablet, but one that runs on Android.
Enter the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, an 10 1/2-inch tablet that gives the iPad a serious run for its money. It’s so easy to use and versatile, it just might even convince iPad users to switch to Android altogether. Today, Amazon has slashed the price of unlocked Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e tablets in both black and silver. They're usually $480, but today they're on sale for $380, or $100 off.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e happens to be the slimmest tablet in Samsung's entire Tab line, weighing less than a pound but equipped with 64GB of storage (expandable up to a whopping 512GB via microSD card), compared to Apple’s entry level 32GB (without expandability). On top of that, the Tab S5e’s 10 1/2-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD widescreen for immersive viewing, while the iPad is not widescreen at all.
It features an impressive 13-megapixel rear shooter with a 8-megapixel selfie cam on the front for video calls — this camera set is actually a lot better than the one that comes with the iPad. You can connect the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e to your cellular carrier, you don't even need WiFi to stay connected. And with the Family Share feature, you can sync up to six individual accounts.
"Samsung took a book out of Apple and followed the design method 'less is better,'" wrote one self-proclaimed honest fan. "[The Galaxy Tab S5e is] slim, light, and beautiful in image quality. The battery life is great and for the price, it beats paying an arm and a leg for an Apple tablet.
