Sam Smith Will Appear on Season 2 of “And Just Like That...”

And just like that… HBO Max’s Sex and the City revival series has added a *major* pop star to its cast, and we have never been more ready to return to the streets of Manhattan.
On February 22, Sam Smith (yes, Grammy Award-winning Sam Smith) took to Instagram to tease their appearance on season 2 of And Just Like That…. In the photos, Sam peeks out from behind a trailer door and poses for the camera. “Up to something unholy on set,” they captioned the post. And Just Like That… also shared the shots on their official Instagram account.
Although the shared post implied confirmation of Sam’s casting, Deadline later verified their upcoming appearance on the rom-com series. Yes. 👏 Yes. 👏 Yes. 👏
However, details of Sam’s character have been kept under wraps, much like other plotlines of And Just Like That… season 2. When we left Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt in the season 1 finale, Carrie had traveled to Paris to bid one final farewell to Big, then launched a new podcast titled, you guessed it, “Sex and the City.”
Meanwhile, Charlotte and her husband Harry threw a they-mitzvah for their child, Rock, and Miranda turned down a prestigious internship to follow her partner Che Diaz to Los Angeles, where they were set to film a TV pilot.
While we don’t know how Sam’s character will be introduced, or how extensive their cameo is, we know it will be iconique no matter what. And Just Like That… season 2 doesn’t have a release date just yet, but these set photos will get us through in the meantime.
