Sam Asghari is standing up for his wife, Britney Spears, after her ex made certain claims about her relationship with her children.

This Saturday, Kevin Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, spoke publicly for the first time about the "Oops!…I Did It Again" singer's alleged estrangement from their two sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15.

Federline told the Daily Mail that the boys are avoiding their mom and find it "tough" to deal with her social media posts—which often include photos of herself at the beach, dancing in her living room, or notes about her life and former conservatorship.

"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It's been a few months since they've seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding," Federline said, adding that Sean and Jayden also don't like Spears's "nude photos" on Instagram.

"I try to explain to them, 'Look, maybe that's just another way she tries to express herself,'" Federline continued. "But that doesn't take away from the fact of what it does to them. It's tough. I can't imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school."

Spears addressed the accusations in an Instagram Story, saying, "It saddens me to hear that my ex husband has decided to discuss the relationship between me and my children ... As we all know, raising teenage boys is never easy for anyone ... it concerns me the fact that the reason is based on my INSTAGRAM ... it was LONG before Instagram ... I gave them everything."

The star said she finds the situation "HURTFUL," and revealed her mother, Lynne Spears, once told her to give the boys to Federline full time. "I'm sharing this because I can," Spears wrote. "Have a good day folks!!!"

Soon after, Spears's husband, Asghari, rushed to his Instagram Story to support her.

The actor said "there is no validity" to Federline's "statement regarding the kids distancing themselves and it is irresponsible to make that statement publicly."

"The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the 'tough' part was having a father who hasn't worked much in over 15 years as a role model," Asghari said, adding that he has nothing against Federline "aside from him choosing to vilify my wife."

He also defended Spears’s sexy posts, which Federline claimed to be one of the reasons her sons are staying away. "To clarify my wife has never posted a nude selfie expect of her butt wich [sic] is quite modest these days. All other posts were implied nudity wich [sic] can be seen in any ad for lotion or soap," Asghari wrote.

Asghari accused Federline of siding with Spears’s father, Jamie Spears, and supporting her 13-year conservatorship. He also said it’s he—who "hasn’t worked much in over 15 years"—who is the bad role model to his sons, not Spears. "I will not comment on this matter again except to say I have a job," Asghari wrote.
