Oh, you thought the "Drivers License" saga was over? Think again. This love triangle between Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, and Sabrina Carpenter just keeps getting more complicated because Sabrina just released a new song, and it totally seems like a response to everything going on.

At midnight on Thursday, Sabrina dropped her single "Skin" and fans quickly dove into the song to see if there were any references to all the drama. It didn't take long until fans noticed that the track is pretty much a direct response to "Drivers License." So, let's take a look at the "Skin" lyrics and see what Sabrina really has to say.

[Verse 1]
Maybe we could have been friends
If I met you in another life
Maybe then we could pretend
There's no gravity in the words we write
Maybe you didn't mean it
Maybe "blonde" was the only rhyme
The only rhyme

If you're like me and you've been blasting "Drivers License" 24/7 since its release, your ears probably perked up at the word "blonde." On her track," Olivia sings, "And you’re probably with that blonde girl/Who always made me doubt," which is assumed to be a reference to Sabrina. Here, Sabrina seems to be saying that those words Olivia wrote clearly had a meaning, and she picked up on it just like everyone else did.

And then there are the first few lines of "Skin." It's possible that Sabrina is saying that she could have been friends with Olivia, but considering everything they're embroiled in, they never had a chance to really get to know each other.

[Pre-Chorus]
Want my heart to be breakin', breakin', no
I'm happy and you hate it, hate it, oh
And I'm not asking you to let it go
But you been tellin' your side
So I'll be tellin' mine, oh

It's now Sabrina's time to have her say and talk about her side of the situation.

[Chorus]
You can try
To get under my, under my, under my skin
While hе's on mine
Yeah, all on my, all on my, all on my skin
I wish you knew that еven you
Can't get under my skin if I don't let you in

In the chorus, Sabrina seems to make it clear that, despite everything that has gone on, she and Joshua are still going strong and Olivia can't get in the way of that.

[Verse 2]
You're tellin' it how you see it
Like truth is whatever you decide
Some people will believe it
And some will read in between the lines
You're putting me in the spotlight
But I've been under it all my life
Said all my life

It's possible that Sabrina doesn't feel like Olivia told the full story in "Drivers License." Following the release of the song, both Sabrina and Joshua got a lot of hate after Olivia put them "in the spotlight."

[Pre-Chorus]
Want my heart to be breakin', breakin', no
I'm happy and you hate it, hate it, oh
And I'm not asking you to let it go
But you been tellin' your side
So I'll be tellin' mine (Mine, oh)

[Chorus]
You can try
To get under my, under my, under my skin
While he's on mine
Yeah, all on my, all on my, all on my skin
I wish you knew that even you
Can't get under my skin if I don't let you in, oh
You can try
To get under my, under my, under my skin
While he's on mine
Yeah, all on my, all on my, all on my skin
I wish you knew that even you
Can't get under my skin if I don't let you in, oh

[Bridge]
I just hope that one day
We both can laugh about it
When it's not in our face
Won't have to dance around it
Don't drive yourself insane
It won't always be this way

It seems like Sabrina is hopeful for a day when she and Olivia can put this all behind them and move on.

For now, though, the drama is still on her mind, considering the use of the word "drive" in the bridge. Many are noting that it could be another reference to "Drivers License" and possibly the line, "'Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street."

[Chorus]
You can try
To get under my, under my, under my skin
While he's on mine
Yeah, all on my, all on my, all on my skin
I wish you knew that even you
Can't get under my skin if I don't let you in

As of now, Sabrina hasn't confirmed whether or not this song was in fact a response to everything going on, but I mean it's kind of hard to deny it at this point. Between the timing and the lyrics, it seems clear she wanted to say her piece and she did just that.
