Sabrina Carpenter Traded Her Signature Blonde Hair for a Totally Unexpected Color
You undoubtedly know Girl Meets World and Tall Girl star Sabrina Carpenter as a blonde, but you'll have to put away that mental image for a while thanks to one of her latest Instagram posts. The actress and singer revealed on October 17 that she's changed her look entirely with fiery, copper-red hair. "Roses are red, violets are blue, my hair is red," Carpenter captioned a snapshot of herself sitting in what appears to be a hair and makeup trailer. Not surprising, as the new look is part of Carpenter's role in the upcoming movie Clouds, as evidenced by her use of #cloudmovie in the same post.
Though people certainly adore this look — the photo has more than a whopping million likes and more than 7,000 comments — the chances that it's just a wig for the purposes of the film are high. But you never know, seeing as the hairstylist responsible for it has not confirmed that just (yet, at least). Carpenter already has very light blonde hair, so dyeing it this fair shade of red certainly wouldn't be the hardest task in the world. What's even more likely is that her eyebrows have been dyed or tinted an auburn hue to match.
Clouds, just in case you're curious, depicts the true story of Zach Sobiech, a teenager who wrote a viral song of the same name after he was diagnosed with cancer. It's the second directorial project from Jane the Virgin actor Justin Baldoni. Carpenter will play Sobeich's real-life best friend Sammy Brown, who has coppery red hair, hence the actress's drastic hair change. "Three days out from filming! It’s getting real," Baldoni wrote when he shared his own shot of Carpenter's red hair. "She has officially become @sammyruth23. P.S @sabrinacarpenter please send me your skin-care regimen." Agreed, Justin, agreed.
