Yves Saint Laurent has a fresh new makeup collection out for spring 2016 called "Boho Stone." Based on bold, audacious shades, the collection uses subtle shimmers and pearly finishes to bring a chic bohemian vibe to 2016. This new collection is out now in the US and the UK, and will launch in the rest of Europe in February.

With "Boho Stone," Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director of Makeup for Yves Saint Laurent Beauté, lets free spirits experiment with their own color combinations, playing around with different applications and varying the intensity of colors. This collection captures creativity and fun, offering uninhibited looks that are laid-back but highly sophisticated.

Fresh face

Continuing autumn's trend, spring skin should be bright and subtle, with a fresh, natural glow replacing heavier bases and more worked-at looks. To help achieve this effortless glow, YSL's limited-edition "Face Palette Collector Gypsy Opale" has four colored powders for correcting uneven skin tone. A light green shade reduces redness, lilac illuminates, pink adds freshness and gold gives natural luminosity (€49 or $47).

The star of the new YSL makeup line has got to be "Fusion Ink Blush," a natural color-wash with a "gel-to-color" formula that packs soluble color into a hydrating base. It's available in four shades: "Electric Red" (an orangey red), "Pink Attraction" (a fuchsia pink), "Spicy Vibes" (a golden orange) and "Edge Berry" (a magenta pink), (€32 / 35 UK pounds/ US price and release date to be confirmed).

Bright eyes

This spring, it's out with pastels and in with bright colors in the most daring shades -- sometimes inspired by precious stones. The Yves Saint Laurent limited-edition "Couture Palette Collector Indie Jaspe" steps into the season with five boho eyeshadow shades to blend, juxtapose or use alone in a host of possible combinations. There's a pale green, a sage green, two peach shades and a silver, all set through with a subtle gold shimmer (€62 or $60).

To complete the look, the iconic YSL "Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils" has launched in two bold special editions: a bright "Bohemian Pink" and a "Hippie Green" jade shade. These too can be used in a number of ways. They can be worn alone or over regular mascara, and can be matched or clashed in all kinds of combinations (€33 or $32).

Bohemian nails

The look is completed with two new shades of "Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain" lip color: a bright pink "Tangerine Boho" hue and a "Rose Folk" vintage pink. They offer buildable color and can be applied layer by layer for different intensities of color (€34 or $38).

Nails get fresh with a pair of new "La Laque Couture" pearly nail polishes designed to accompany the face and eye palettes: "Love Pink," a pearly pink hue, and "Peace Green," a bright jade color (€23 or $27).
