I don't know about you, but my computer might not be ready for a Netflix thriller starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. It can barely be left in the sun for 10 minutes—how will it be able to stand this level of heat?

According to Deadline, Evans and Gosling are partnering up to star in The Gray Man, with the intention “to create a new franchise with a James Bond level of scale and a budget upwards of $200 million." Per the trade publication, this will be Netflix's most “financially ambitious” project to date.

Written by Joe Russo, who will direct along with his brother Anthony Russo, The Gray Man is based on the novel by Mark Greaney. Deadline describes the plot of the spy thriller as "a deadly duel between killers as [former CIA operative named Court Gentry] (Gosling) is hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort of Gentry’s at the CIA.”

“The movie is a real mano a mano between those two great actors who represent two different versions of the CIA, in what it can be, and what it can do,” Anthony Russo told Deadline. “For those who were fans of Captain America: Winter Soldier, this is us moving into that territory in more of a real-world setting. That’s what this movie really means for us.”

As you can probably imagine, reactions are rolling in on Twitter.

Me too, @NickARomano. Me too.

With the coronavirus pandemic still very much a thing, production details have not been fully confirmed, though Russo says they are “eyeing a January start date in Los Angeles with international locations being finalized.”

Don't rush, we'll wait as long as we have to for Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans.
