The Rush: Pac-12 comes up huge, a Giant pickup and some Pro Day shockers

West Coast bias? A quarter of the teams in the men’s NCAA Tournament are now from the Pac-12 after another day of upsets in Indy. The women’s Tourney is full of busted brackets as well after Monday was full of upsets in San Antonio. In the NFL, the Giants make another huge free agency move and two players are flying up Draft boards after putting up some insane Pro Day numbers.

JARED QUAY: An unusual March Madness Monday renders another day of unlikely outcomes. Let's be honest, your bracket sucks. I know it. You know it. Now let's get on with the show.

The one thing we do know is the Pac 12 is on fire. Seventh seed Oregon said bye to the two seed Hawkeyes with an offensive explosion. That Ducks dropped 56 points in the first half, and cruised to a 95-80 win.

11 seed UCLA is just the fourth team to go from a play-in game to the sweet 16 as they overpowered Aberline Christian by 20 points. 20? In NCAA? As an elevensie?

The Pac 12 has looked so good that Bill Walton picked five teams from the conference to make the Final Four. That's right. 5 teams in the Final Four. You know, he definitely on that heavy broccoli. Especially since Colorado got knocked.

The madness isn't just for the men's game, either. Because the women are busting brackets.

5 foot 6 freshmen Destiny Wells dropped 25 points in 12 seed Belmont's upset over Gonzaga. It was the first tourney win ever for the Bruins. Wright State toppled Arkansas to become only the sixth 13 seed to beat a number 4. And 11 seed BYU pulled off a stunning victory over Rutgers behind Paisley Harding's 28 point outburst.

JARED QUAY: In the NFL, it's another day, another big move for the New York Giants. Coming off a huge Kenny Golladay signing, big blue inked cornerback Adoree' Jackson to a three year deal. You know, it's like somebody's been waving them smelling salts under the nose of the front office of the Giants.

You know, NFC East might go from least to beast in 2021. And I know we're all missing the combine, but we got to tell about two crazy pro day numbers.

The first from Illinois' receiver Josh Imatorbhebhe, who had a 46 and 1/2 inch vertical jump in champagne. Wait a minute. Am I reading that right? 46 and 1/2. To recap, he simultaneously broke the NBA and NFL vertical record. Insane.

Speaking of climbing up draft boards, superhuman Titan Kyle Pitts ran a 4.46 40 at his pro day. He's 6'6'', weighs 246, and had zero drops last season, because he's probably made from spare parts from NASA.

You know, that's a tight end running that fast. You know who else used to play tight end? Mike Ditka. You imagine what Mike Ditka ran in the 40? Probably less than 7.2. Yeah, I know what, I think it's his mustache that's weighing him down. He had a huge mustache. You can't run fast with a mustache like that.
