The Rush: Kobe Just Made How Much Money?!

A lot of talk has been made recently about the $153 million LeBron James will make in Los Angeles over the next four years as the Lakers’ centerpiece.

Assuming he can deliver a championship that L.A. so covets, he be playing in roughly 100 games per year for that paycheck (82 regular season games plus four playoff rounds.) So whether or not you think that kind of work is worth upwards of $40 million every, he will have to work for it.

Meanwhile, his Lakeshow predecessor just netted $200 million from home. On a single investment.

In 2014, Kobe Bryant paid $6 million for a 10% stake in Body Armor. Long before the Coca-Colas of the world showed interest. But now that the king of beverage companies has made an investment of their own, Bryant’s stake is valued at $200 million.

So who’s really the king of L.A.?
