GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO: No, this is Tik-- Tiky Tokey. This is Tiky Toky.
- No, no, no, no, no. TikTok is banned.
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO: TikTok banned?
JARED QUAY: Eh.
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO: Really?
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JARED QUAY: Giannis definitely has a future as a TikTok influence. But after his extension he just signed with Milwaukee, he might not have to work again. My man got paid.
We'll hit you with those details in a second. But first, let's not play ball. MLB spring training is scheduled to begin in about two months.
- Yay!
JARED QUAY: Eh, not so fast. According to Yahoo Sports' Tim Brown, the owners are asking the players union to delay this season about a month because of COVID.
- OK, why not?
JARED QUAY: And they want to prorate the players' salaries. See? I knew there was some fine print in there.
- Oh, really?
JARED QUAY: Now, I'm not saying MLB owners hate baseball, but I bet they would sign up for a one-game season if they thought no one would notice. Whatever the case is, there's no reason to delay spring ball. I mean, everybody's working from home. Baseball players can to.
- Every time [INAUDIBLE].
- Oh.
- Oh, my god.
GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO: I'll be here in Milwaukee for the next five years. This my home. This is my city.
JARED QUAY: The two-time reigning MVP ain't going anywhere. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a five-year, $228 million supermax contract extension.
- It was worth every penny.
JARED QUAY: A quarter of a billion is a lot of coins, especially when you're not even the betting favorite to win MVP. That honor goes to Luka Doncic. See, last month him and Giannis opened up as co-favorites. But now, according to Bet MGM, the Mavs superstar is the lone front runner at plus 400.
It's probably because they had a tough time saying Antetokounmpo. I mean, that don't even fit on a trophy really. I bet you they picked Luka Doncic to be the favorite because Luka don't have that many silent letters. In fact, by that measure, I think Chris Paul should be the front runner, right?
Ooh, no actually, Bol Bol got to be a shoe-in, right? Bol Bol's the easiest name to pronounce. On the trophy you could write Bol squared, and everybody would know who you're talking about.
