Here's How to Watch the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Premiere Tonight

From Cosmopolitan

RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 just wrapped up, so you know what that means: The time has come to get excited about RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars season 5. If you are a new fan of Drag Race and haven’t watched All Stars yet...you are missing out big-time. It’s when all your fave queens from previous seasons of RPDR return for a rematch. It is literally can’t-miss television. The fifth season of All Stars kicks off June 5, so here’s what you need to know.

When will it air?

The new season kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on June 5, but not on VH1. RuPaul announced this week that it’ll premiere on Showtime instead.

Who are the judges tho?

I mean, the show *could* mix things up, but chances are, we’ll see the return of Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews, and Carson Kressley—plus a bunch of famous celebrity guest judges. Oh, and RuPaul, of course.

Cool, but WHO ARE THE FAN FAVORITES?

First of all, everyone had their picks for the ultimate All Stars 5 cast should be. See?

Here are some fan faves who WILL be on this season:

MIZ CRACKER

Season: 10

Okay, sip on this tea: Miz Cracker posted a super-sus Instagram video in May apologizing to fans for postponing a buncha shows—all of which were scheduled last June, which (reminder) is when fans thought All Stars 5 filmed.

Still, Miz Cracker played it cool and even said at one point she wasn’t interested in All Stars, telling ET, “We have such incredibly big fish to fry. There are so many queer people in the world that do not have the rights they deserve, goddamnit. That has to take precedence to me and it does. So that’s what I’m focused on right now. Reality first, then the TV inspired by reality.”

Also, I feel incredibly seen by this tweet:

SHEA COULEÉ

Season: 9

Shea was a season 9 finalist, so it just makes sense for her to be on All Stars 5. Plus, like, she said she wanted to do it, telling her Instagram followers, “I’d be crazy to say no. But am I crazy tho?!”

Honestly, people desperately want Shea, and VH1 knows what they're doing because they cast her.

DERRICK BARRY

Season: 8

Kay, first of all, this:

Second of all, during an interview with DigitalSpy, Derrick made it alllll kinds of clear that she was down for All Stars 5, saying, “It’s incredible to even be part of the franchise. I would never turn All Stars down, that’s for sure.”

And *This* Is the Official Cast

And on the ?? day of quarantine, we finally got the official cast for this season. Without further ado, get ready to see Alexis Mateo, Miz Cracker, Jujubee, Shea Couleé, Blair St. Clair, Derrick Barry, Mariah Paris Balenciaga, Mayhem Miller, India Ferrah, and Ongina battle it out for the ultimate prize!

What Do They Win?

Good question! The winner of All Stars walks away with a $100,000 cash prize and a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame. Contestants also stand to win cash, gift cards, and even vacations and mini prizes throughout the season.

What About the Big Twist?

Oh, yeah! Unlike previous All Stars seasons in which the top two queens lip-sync for their legacy and get to decide who goes home each week, this time, the top queen that week will go head-to-head wig-to-wig with a surprise lip-sync assassin from a previous season.

If the All Stars 5 queen wins, they get a $10,000 tip and chooses who goes home. But if the returning queen wins, the season 5 cast will vote for who must sashay away, and the $10,000 will roll over to the next week. So get ready for a wholeeee lot of drama, alliances, and hopefully the best lip-sync battles in Drag Race history.

I’M SO EXCITED, THERE ARE NO WORDS.
