The right helmet for: Someone who dabbles in different disciplines, but doesn’t want a different helmet for each

The Strym is Rudy Project’s rendition of a helmet for all occasions. The Italian eyewear and helmet company’s Racemaster, Sterling, and Windmax helmets have occupied the high-end road helmet market; but the Strym, with fewer vents and an emphasis on comfort, adds an element of everyday practicality to the company’s helmet offerings. The Strym is a helmet you can use for road rides or mountain biking, everyday cruising on a bike path or commuting in traffic.

The company’s Airframe frontal padding employs layers of Dry Foam and antibacterial fabric. The fabric transpires sweat beads into vapor, keeping the foam padding dry and the helmet stink-free. The 16 vents are larger than those found on racier Rudy Project helmets, and air channels inside the helmet help circulate wind throughout.

The Rudy Project endowed the Strym with the company’s latest adjustable retention system, the RSR 10, which boasts a comfortable wrap-around fit and seamless micrometric adjustment to keep the helmet glued to your cranium. Bugstop frontal padding keeps critters outside the helmet, and riders can choose from black, white, dark grey, fluorescent yellow, fluorescent pink, blue with orange accents, and navy blue with white accents.
