Prince William and Kate Middleton are officially off the grid. The couple and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are all on vacation at the Caribbean island of Mustique. And, according to People it has a lot of history with the royal family. Apparently, Princess Margaret used to frequently visit the island in the 1970's whenever she was having marital problems with her husband, Anthony Armstrong-Jones. Princess Margaret spent so much time there that the owner of this breathtaking private island gave her 10 acres of her own. And ever since then, Mustique has been the go-to vacation spot for many royal couples.

The family even celebrated Prince George's sixth birthday, which was Jul. 22, on the island, according to The Sun. This island is the perfect place for the family to get away from it all, because it is truly private. Mustique even has its own police force, just in case any paparrazzi or stubborn fans decide to try their luck.

"It’s about as close as they can come to without going to total wilderness as they did on their honeymoon when they went to an island in the middle of nowhere," an unnamed royal source told The Sun. "To go to a place with two bars and a few other people, and not feel totally isolated Mustique is perfect."
