Roseanne Fans Aren't Happy With David's Return
On Tuesday night's Roseanne, two familiar faces returned to the Conner home: Johnny Galecki's David and Estelle Parsons' Bev. Fans couldn't get enough of their return, but David's story line didn't necessarily get the most positive reaction.

Many fans were excited to see Bev back, especially after watching her interactions with Jackie and Roseanne.

One detail, however, made several fans confused after many of them realized that Bev was kicked out of her nursing home for having sex with men. In the final season, Bev came out as a lesbian, but this ended up being made up as part of the plot of novel that Roseanne was writing, along with the family winning the lottery.
@RoseanneOnABC disappointed that Bev isn’t gay in the reboot. Her coming out episode was hilarious. One thing they should of kept from the final season. #roseanne

Is Bev bi now or did Roseanne keep her not actually being a lesbian canon? Is Jackie a lesbian, they got rid of her son and Roseanne said she had been a lesbian the whole time so did they keep those parts of the "book" canon? #roseanne

The biggest story line of the episode came from David's big return, after it was revealed that he had left his family in earlier episodes this season. It turns out David went on a trip to South America to build houses after his brother had died, and he couldn't cope with his new responsibilities.
A lot of Roseanne fans couldn't believe that David would leave his family or Darlene, especially after seeing how strong their relationship had been over the years.
I have a really hard time believing that David, would ever leave Darlene, let alone be an absentee father. Maybe vice-versa. #Roseanne
