Rose Leslie gave a rare interview on her relationship with Kit Harington and how they handle his addiction struggles

Star of The Time Traveller's Wife, Rose Leslie, recently gave a rare interview about her marriage to Game of Thrones costar Kit Harington. She gave fans some insight into parenting their newborn son, whom they welcomed in February 2021, as well as their relationship as a couple and how they handle his struggles with addiction.
The fairly private couple tend to keep much of their relationship under wraps, but in a recent interview Leslie spoke openly about Harington's struggles with alcohol addiction following his stint in rehab back in May 2019.
"I’ve learnt a lot about addiction and it’s something Kit is forever going to be aware of, but it’s on him whether he chooses to drink again," she told Harpers Bazaar.
"No amount of nannying is going to be able to stop him from doing what he decides to do. The responsibility of his behaviour is on him. It’s not on me to guard him from it."
She also spoke about parenting their new baby son, whom the couple welcomed in February 2021 and whose name has been kept private, explaining that they recently got into a "glorious" childcare arrangement.
Speaking about parenting while filming a project she explained, "... We had an understanding that, when our son cried in the middle of the night, it was on Kit to go and look after him, as I would have to wake up early to work – it was kind of glorious."
However, she added that she didn't always find that easy, explaining how tough it was to leave her newborn son.
"I remember finding it very brutal, being wrenched away from him. There were parts of me that doubted whether I would be able to see it through for six months. It was so tough."
