In December 2022, Rosalía deemed boyfriend Rauw Alejandro among the people she loves most in her life. And now, the two are set to be married.
Throughout their three-year romance, the Spanish singer and her now fiancé have not been shy about showing off their affection in PDA-filled posts, in joint music projects, and on the red carpet.
Ahead, see everything we know so far about their passionate romance, from their first captured outing to their latest collaborations.
March 24, 2023: They confirm their engagement in a music video.
The pair drop their collaborated EP, RR, and officially announce their engagement in the music video for "BESO." The video gives a sweet glimpse into their intimate dynamic, featuring raw iPhone footage of PDA-filled moments including the two waking up together, hanging out onstage, traveling around the world—and, in the final clip, of Rosalía wiping away happy tears and showing off her new diamond ring.
"Oh, my God. I love you," she says in Spanish while giving her now fiancé a kiss.
"After more than 3 years together here are 3 songs made with all the love in the world 💝," the singer writes in Spanish on Instagram. "I hope you enjoy this little piece of us."
The two co-wrote "BESO" alongside the tracks "VAMPIROS" and "PROMESA" for their collab, which they first announced via a joint Instagram post earlier in the month.
January 1, 2023: They celebrate New Year's in Japan.
The two spend the holidays together in Tokyo and Kyoto, where they are seen enjoying meals and outings with friends, per their Instagram posts.
November 17, 2022: They celebrate each other at the Grammys.
The pair take the red carpet at the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards, where Rosalía wins several awards including Album of the Year. Later on Instagram, she expresses her gratitude for Rauw, calling him the "love of my life."
"Thank you very much for the grammys that so far the academy has granted me," she writes, "but this year is more special than ever because I'm sharing it with the love of my life."
"Thanks to the Academy to our fans, there are 14 nominations between the two I feel very happy and very blessed to be here and more by your side @rosalia.vt I love you 'mami!'" the Puerto-Rican-born singer then writes on Instagram.
October 8, 2022: Rauw surprises Rosalía onstage.
Rauw makes a surprise cameo onstage during Rosalía's performance of "Despecha" at her second show along her Motomami World Tour held at YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. Per Hola!, Rosalía pauses briefly in shock before going in for an embrace and kissing him onstage.
September 25, 2022: They celebrate Rosalía's birthday in New York City.
The two celebrate Rosalía's 30th birthday in Times Square and are later captured leaving celebrity hotspot Carbone, per photos from Daily Mail.
March 2022: They get tattoos about each other.
During an appearance on her Spanish talk show, El Hormiguero, Rosalía opens up about her new "meaningful" tattoo that features the letters "RR" (which we now know is the title of her and Rauw's collaborated album). At the time, she hints at the reference to the upcoming EP, saying that it might stand for "Rolls Royce", per the host's own guess—or, "it could be something else."
Later, in April, Rauw also debuts a tattoo dedicated to Rosalía, one featuring her name in handwritten letters, per photos from photographer Arianna Andrad.
February 14, 2022: They celebrate their first Valentine's Day together.
The two look cozy and in love for their first Valentine's Day together. Rauw shares sweet photos from the night on his Instagram Stories, including a mirror selfie with Rosalía—who rests her head on his shoulder in an elevator—and a snapshot of a room filled with roses, candles, and balloons.
November 12, 2021: Rauw calls Rosalía his "muse."
Rauw wins the Best Urban Artist award at the Los40 Music Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Rosalía herself hands him the award onstage. "To my beautiful girlfriend, who is my muse," he says before going in for a passionate kiss.
The occasion also marks the first time that the pair step out on the red carpet as a couple. Rosalía wears a sheer baby-blue gown and Rauw opts for a loose-fitted dark suit. When asked on the carpet what first attracted him to Rosalía, Rauw tells Entertainment Tonight, "She's perfect. She's beautiful."
A week later, Rauw gets candid about what he finds special about his relationship with Rosalía. "I'm really proud, man," he says of her recent Rolling Stone cover. "She's amazing. She deserves everything that happened, that is happening en su carrera (in her career). She works really hard and, you know, [I'm] really happy man."
And the following month, he opens up about the various ways Rosalía has been an inspiration for his music. "She can be my muse, but she inspires me in different ways: sounds, production-wise," he says during his own interview with Rolling Stone.
September 24, 2021: They go public with their relationship.
The two officially confirm their relationship status on social media via a clip on TikTok in which Rosalía does a heart-shape pose with Rauw.
The following day, the two spend cozy time together on Rosalía's 29th birthday. The rapper shares a carousel post on Instagram from the special day that features a photo of her laying on Rauw.
August 19, 2021: They go out to dinner.
The two are first spotted out together at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood, where they are captured on camera holding hands.
