By now, we've been introduced to the Hexa, the robot who takes care of your plants, as well as Terra, the robot who mows your lawn. Now, there's a robot that will pick up dog droppings off your lawn. And you don't even have to tell this little bot where the mess is— it will find it all by itself!

The Beetl is an autonomous robot that locates dog poop, rolls over to it, and picks it up. According to Oddity Mail, the Beetl is equipped with a front camera and computer vision to help it navigate and avoid bumping into other objects, as it rolls across the lawn in search of poop piles. As the owner, you can program boundaries within the robot's vision of where it can go, like your entire yard, and cannot go, like into the neighbor's yard or street. Each time the Beetl detects poop, it rolls directly over to it, drops a mechanical claw down to snatch it up, and thens places it into a sealed container inside. Not to mention, this smart robot is battery powered and will even automatically recharge when its running low.

Unfortunately, the Beetl robot is still just a concept as of right now and is not available for purchase, according to Awesome Inventions. There's not yet a timeline on when we can expect to see this fancy gizmo picking up our doggo's duty. However, the design team has mentioned potentially adding a new feature that would enable the robot to also cut grass while it drives on the lawn in search for droppings. Talk about double-tasking, amiright? We'll keep you updated if this robotic pooper scooper goes on the market. Think about how much time and effort it would save us dog parents!
