Fashion truth: Everything old always becomes new again. Which is why we love when brands take a stroll through the archives and re-release the classics. Cue the house Roger Vivier and the Caprices collection, a capsule of heritage accessories that are being relaunched by Creative Director Bruno Frisoni.

The collection launches today exclusively at TheLuxer.com. But it wasn’t enough to just release gorgeous updates on classic Vivier bags, shoes, and jewelry. There also needed to be a perfect face to go along with the accessories. And who embodies that French sexiness better than Julia Roitfeld? Julia was shot by photographer Michael Avedon (grandson of famed photog Richard Avedon). The entire package is about new generations with reverence to the past, and a foot in the future.

From animal and insect motifs (“Because in the summer, bees are always with us, I wanted to keep them for the night,” Frisoni said of a bee-inspired shoe) to mod jewels and floral shoes, the Caprices updates are a fun look back, while being infinitely more wearable and far less costume-y than the usual re-issue. Think of these as a subtle way to rock your inner Joan from Mad Men. And if you don’t think tiger print can be subtle, guess again. (Frisoni calls the pattern graffiti and it just got way cooler, didn’t it?)

The super exclusive collection is available for a limited time and prices are upon request. Bon shopping!
