Rod Stewart Crashed a Wedding in Vegas With a Sweet Rendition of 'Have I Told You Lately'

How do you make your wedding even more special than you could possibly imagine? Have a music icon crash it.

British couple Andrew Aitchison and Sharon Cook almost had to cancel their wedding after their airline, Thomas Cook, shut down on Sept. 23, according to CNN. Luckily, they were having their wedding at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, and the hotel and casino stepped in to help make sure the event went off without a hitch, even going so far as to arrange new flights for them and their 14 guests with Delta, Billboard reported.

But there was one surprise Aitchison and Cook were not expecting: a surprise appearance by music legend Rod Stewart.

According to CNN, Stewart is in Las Vegas performing shows at The Colosseum, so why not crash a wedding while he was at it? Of course, the “crash” was arranged by Caesar’s Palace, who told the couple to “expect surprises,” according to CNN.

Aitchison tweeted photos of this surprise appearance as the couple took their vows at the hotel’s Venus Garden Chapel. According to Billboard, Stewart even sang the couple a sweet, acoustic rendition of one of his hits, “Have I Told You Lately,” with a few violinists.

“We woke up today with quite a hangover not sure this actually happened, it was like a dream. You helped make it the best day of our lives,” said Aitchison on Twitter. “Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, you are an absolute Gent and legend, Sir Rod. My only worry is that Sharon didn't want to let you go!”

Stewart also toasted the happy couple on Twitter. The pair and their entire wedding party will be seeing him in concert at The Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace as well, according to Page Six.

A potentially sad, postponed affair immediately turned into one of the best weddings ever thanks to the “Maggie May” singer. We all love a happy ending.
