Robin Wright, 51, Does Cannes Like a Supermodel in a Sexy Slip Dress

The Cannes Film Festival has become synonymous with show-stopping style. Some of the most iconic fashion moments have taken place on the grand steps of the Palais des Festivals, not to mention the jaw-dropping jewels that are debuted on the red carpet. It’s also become an international celebrity hot-spot, where the world’s most famous faces turn the carpet into a catwalk. And that’s exactly what Robin Wright did on Thursday.
The 51-year-old actress flipped the style script on Cannes dressing and turned to the supermodel playbook, stepping out at the Loveless premiere in a emerald satin slip gown with an open criss-cross back. (She also followed the model “no bra, no problem” dressing MO.) She teamed her slinky gown with platform sandals and a blue velvet Hayward clutch.
Wright has also been playing up her longer hair. The star is growing out her Claire Underwood pixie cut, ans she styled her blonde bob in loose textured waves for the premiere.

So what’s her secret to looking so youthful? In 2014, Wright admitted to the UK’s The Telegraph that she does “the tiniest sprinkle of Botox twice a year.”
But her plastic surgery stops there. The House of Cards star opened up toTown & Country about the pressure to look young in Hollywood, something that almost prevented her from saying yes to the role of Claire Underwood on the Netflix hit.
“I was sitting there going, ‘You’re 45, and you’re not gonna get a face-lift,’ ” she told the magazine. “I was really considering that stuff, because in Hollywood the pressure’s there. You better lift that face and pump those lips and hike those boobs! And I was like, ‘I don’t want to do that. I’m going to get older. I’m going to have wrinkles!’”
