Robin Van Gyn Posts Heart-Warming Message About First All-Female Backcountry Freestyle Contest

Robin Van Gyn was the officiator of the first all female backcountry freestyle contest that took place this week, Research and Development. If the women who attended's posts have anything to say about how it went, we would come to assume it was truly incredible. Below are some of the posts from the women and their captions.

"YESTERDAY will go down in my snowboard history book as one of the most exciting moments on the timeline. Watching these 14 women rise and showcase in sub par conditions was a thing of beauty. It was nothing but good vibes and an insanely strong showing of what is to come. I am still floored at the entire week, and will recap more in the next months , but what I can say is I am beside myself with excitement to put it all together and show everyone how worthy these athletes are to be included in film crews, contests , and teams in EQUAL numbers. This matters."

"An unbelievable week."

"Can’t thank @robinvangyn @hibeams @mariefranceroy enough for hosting this event and giving us an opportunity to ride this type of stuff. It was an honor to ride alongside all the girls as they threw down on a pretty wild course in some pretty gnar conditions."

"It’s hard to put into words just how amazing this week was @rndsearch. Everybody was ripping!! It was such an honor and pleasure to get to ride with everyone. Thank you @robinvangyn for putting this on and to @whitewaterskiresort for having us 🫶🏼✨ and to every one else involved in making this happen ❤️ I ran out of tags to tag"
