Robin Roberts Shares Rare Family Photo With Her Nephews

The broadcaster got to spend some time with her family.

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts showed off a few of her close family members in a rare photo on social media.

The sweet moment depicts Roberts with her two nephews, Lawrence Roberts and Jeremiah Craft

Roberts captioned the photo, "Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family. These two handsome guys are my amazing nephews! At 6’9” it’s always hard to fit Lawrence (named after his father & grandfather)in the frame. 🤭❤️."

She tagged the location as Ashford & Simpsons Sugar Bar in the Upper West Side of New York City.

Her nephew Lawrence used to play professional basketball, both in the NBA and the European league, while Jeremiah is a singer and actor, most recently appearing in Girls5eva.

Many of the 61-year-old's followers loved seeing her family make a rare appearance on Instagram, with one person commenting, "You have a beautiful family to go along with a beautiful person like you. Love seeing you every morning on GMA. A breath of fresh air."

Ginger Zee, the chief meteorologist of ABC News, also left a note under the picture, writing, "Love seeing the family ❤️."

Just yesterday, Roberts and her family celebrated the broadcaster's late father, Tuskegee Airman Colonel Lawrence Roberts, as a road servicing the Newark Liberty Airport was renamed "Col. Roberts Road."

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Roberts said, "This is an honor we were not expecting at all and you're not only honoring our father but all the Tuskegee Airmen."

According to ABC7 News, Col. Roberts served 32 years in the military and was awarded 18 service medals, as well as a few posthumous awards. On top of that, he played a role in compelling President Harry Truman to desegregate the army.

Both Roberts' nephews and her siblings all attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the anchor retweeting Newark Liberty International Airport's post about the event, thanking them for the honor.

She wrote, "My siblings and I are extremely grateful to all responsible for this recognition. An honor for our beloved father and all #TuskegeeAirmen #Redtails ❤️ (And the new Terminal A is absolutely gorgeous!!!)👏🏽."
