Despite being a mysterious heartthrob on-screen and walking runways at Fashion Week, we don’t know too much about British power couple Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse. Be honest, did you know that they have been together for almost five (!) years?
The couple has kept their relationship on the down low (like very low) over the years, but the two are no stranger to high-profile relationships. Robert called off his engagement to singer FKA Twigs after a three-year relationship in 2017, and prior to that, famously dated his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart. Meanwhile Suki dated A Star Is Born’s Bradley Cooper for two years, after calling it quits with actor James Marsden.

July 2018: Robert and Suki Are Rumored to Be Dating
Relationship rumors started when the two were spotted out on a cozy date night at a London movie theater. E! obtained photos of the two kissing while seeing a 9 pm showing of Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again at Electric Cinema in Notting Hill.
August 2018: Robert and Suki Have Been Reportedly Dating “For Months”
Neither Rob nor Suki confirm the relationship but a source close to the pair told US Weekly the two had been dating for months. An insider told E! that the two are only "casually" dating while Rob is in London filming The King. By the end of the month the couple had reportedly split according to The Daily Mail.
December 2018: The Two Are Spotted in London
The two were seen leaving a Christmas party together on London's Regent Street early in the morning. The guest list allegedly included Suki's ex Bradley Cooper.
January 2019: Robert Celebrates Suki’s 27th Birthday
The two were photographed leaving Suki's 27th birthday together. A couple of weeks later their relationship was confirmed by People, when the were seen holding hands together after a run.
April 2019: Robert Keeps Tight-Lipped About His Love Life
Robert answered first questions about the relationship in an interview with The Sunday Times, saying, "Do I have to about her?" stating, "he prefers to keep his private life out of the press because "if you let people in it devalues what love is."
May 2019: Robert and Suki Celebrate Rob’s Birthday
The couple celebrated Pattinson's 33rd birthday together at Chateau Marmont according to photos captured by People.
June 2019: The Couple Double Dates with Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn
The two went on a double date with Taylor Swift and boyfriend Joe Alwyn to Hollywood's San Vicente Bungalows. An eye witness told Us Weekly that, "They were at a table, just the four of them. Rob and Taylor were across from each other."
September 2019: Robert and Suki Soft-Launch Their Relationship
They couple made their relationship Instagram official, well kind of. Friend and photographer Sofia Malamute shared a photo of the couple and captioned it "Ibiza 2019."
January 2020: Engagement Rumors Surface
Rumors spark when images appear of the actress featuring a gold band on her left finger. Though nothing is confirmed neither of them deny rumors of it being an engagement ring.
May 2020: Rob Admits He Has a Girlfriend
In a cover story with GQ Rob essentially confirms their relationship saying, he would be staying with his "girlfriend" while The Batman paused production due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
November 2020: Robert and Suki Are Spotted in London
Their relationship seems to being strong. Rob and Suki were photographed on a walk around London with Pattinson's parents.
April 2021: Suki Posts Photo on Insta with Pic of Her and Rob in the Background
After months out of the limelight Suki posted a photo of herself on Instagram and super fans noticed that if you zoom in you can see a photo of the couple kissing in the background, confirming that they are still together.
July 2021: Suki Calls Out Gossip Girl
Suki called out the HBO Max reboot of Gossip Girl for joking about their relationship after one of the characters said, "When are you going to get it? As far as the press is concerned, he’s R-Patz and you’re Suki Nobody."
The actress tweeted:
“Seeing critiques of the patriarchy and sexism, then I get name-checked as somebody’s nobody girlfriend,” the Love, Rosie actress tweeted before deleting the message. “Make it make sense.”
September 2021: The Couple Is Spotted in L.A.
The couple is seen together hanging out with R&B singer H.E.R. at the opening of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
February 2022
During The Batman press tour Robert opened up about his life with Suki. In a GQ cover story, he explained how Suki affects his decision-making process. He also recalled a time when Suki trolled him about his role of Batman with a repair man saying, "I'm sitting there facing the other direction, and my girlfriend just keeps continuing the conversation with him," he shared in February 2022, noting how funny the situation was for him. "And I'm looking at her, like, 'Shut the f--k up. Why are you doing this to me?' She was very entertaining. Just talking to an obsessive fan."
During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Robert revealed that Suki cried while watching The Batman saying that it made him incredibly happy. He continued explaining that "It was really her reaction that kind of changed the entire thing [for me], because I’m pretty sure she’s not normally into watching superhero movies." He went on to tell the host that, "Just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time and then she held my hand and touched it [to her face] and I could feel a little tear. And I was like, ‘No way'."
December 2022: Robert and Suki Make Their Red Carpet Debut
Robert and Suki finally made their first red carpet appearance together at the Dior Fall 2023 Menswear show in Giza, Egypt. The couple was all smiles as they posed for pictures alongside the runway.
May 1, 2023: Robert and Suki Attend the 2023 Met Gala
On the First Monday in May, Robert and Suki made their Met Gala debut in New York City. This super-rare outing marked the couple’s just second (!) public appearance together.
Obvi, we cannot get enough of their looks, which honored this year’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The Daisy Jones & The Six actress stunned in a sheer floral Fendi gown, while the Batman star went with a Dior tux with a pleated skirt detail.
