Robbie Williams says he's 'strict' on his children's manners as he 'only pretends to be arrogant'
Over-confidence doesn’t come naturally to Robbie Williams who claims he only “pretends to be arrogant” and that he’s teaching his offspring to be as well mannered as possible.
The pop star, who shares three children with wife Ayda Field, daughters Teddy, seven, and Coco, one, and a son, Charlton, five, isn’t afraid of being strict with his kids.
"I'm a softy, but I'm strict, too. I only pretend to be arrogant. I'm not really," he told Australia current affairs programme The Project as he discussed his role as a father.

"Pomposity, arrogance and ill manners just make my skin crawl, and any sign of that with my kids, I do come down like a ton of bricks,” he shared.
However, he did add that they did things right "95 percent of the time" and that he praised them when they did so.
It was a surprise when the family announced the birth of their third child, Coco, in 2018 as they’d kept her impending arrival under-wraps.
Williams and Field used to a surrogate to carry their youngest after they’d had trouble conceiving, with their decision being praised by Williams’ former bandmate Gary Barlow.
The couple will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary this year after tying the knot Beverly Hills back in 2010.
Recently, the former Take That member has opened up on the rather unconventional way he met his wife.
The father-of-three, who has candidly spoken about his issues with substance abuse in the past, said they first met just after he’d slept with his drug dealer.
He’s also divulged that it was only a few weeks after meeting Field that he went into rehab.
In November the singer appeared on Loose Women, where Field is a panellist, and declared his surprise that it "didn't put her off".
Field, who was also on the show at the time, said she had "gone with her heart" by sticking by him during what was a troubling time for him.
